Originally set for a 17th May release, it will now come out on 9th August across all platforms: PC, Mac, PlayStation consoles, Xbox consoles, and Nintendo Switch. It will also be released day one on Xbox and PC Game Pass. According to reliable leaker Tom Henderson, who cites “several sources with direct knowledge of Ubisoft’s plans” in an article on Xfire, Ubisoft currently has around 20 games lined up and ready for some kind of announcement in the “near future”. Most of these we already know about - including the likes of Assasin’s Creed Infinity, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, and Beyond Good and Evil 2 - but a couple have yet to get any kind of official reveal....

As outlined in Valve’s latest video, all games on Steam will fall into one of four categories - Verified, Playable, Unsupported, and Unknown - giving Steam Deck users an easy, at-a-glance means of checking compatibility with their system. Verified games, denoted by a tick in a green circle, are said to ‘work great’ with Steam Deck, right out of the box. The crossplay toggle allows players to choose whether they matchmake with players from other platforms. Console players tend to disable crossplay to avoid matching against PC players using keyboard and mouse or may be hacking. On the flip side, PC players may wish to avoid console players who have aim assist.
