In order to unlock Tetris 99’s new Kirby theme - inspired by last year’s Switch release Kirby Fighters 2, and viewable in the video below - players simply need to accumulate a total of 100 points by battling it out in online games....

The Kickstarter went live yesterday asking for £18,000. Today, at the time of this article’s publication, it’s on over £58,000. Goodboy Galaxy is the work of two developers, Rik Nicol and Jeremy Clarke, who met while working at a mobile games studio in the Netherlands. It’s a new exploration-focused adventure platform game the creators likened to Cave Story, and described as a “cuter Metroid”. The plan is to release Goodboy Galaxy on real GBA carts as an “aftermarket-product” neither licensed by nor affiliated with Nintendo....

As spotted by Indiewire, Lionsgate’s CEO recently addressed investors and confirmed that the team was “fielding proposals” about a “AAA” John Wick game to expand the multimillion dollar series beyond Hollywood movies. Although no concrete details were shared, Jon Feltheimer said that Lionsgate “believe there is a big AAA game to be made out of John Wick” but didn’t “want to say anything more” right now. “I don’t want to get ahead of myself here, but we believe there is a big AAA game to be made out of John Wick,” Feltheimer told investors....

Now a single game, well more of a museum, collates all those minigames into one big game. Museum of Mechanics: Lockpicking, which is out on Steam today, contains a comprehensive collection of lockpicking minigames from a range of games, including Skyrim, Mass Effect, Fallout, Wolfenstein, and more. The game has been on Itch.io since 2020 and has been continuously updated ever since. The Steam release also features achievements and online leaderboards so you can compare your skills to other players....

Set in the world of Fódlan and featuring the same cast of characters as Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Three Hopes is an action musou take on the game. That means battles against hundreds of enemies and a big cast of characters to play as, depending on the house you choose. News of the demo comes alongside a new trailer featuring a fresh look at gameplay. There are plenty of familiar characters, as well as tea parties of course....

Hines’ appointment comes after a year of damaging headlines which have shone light on Activision Blizzard’s company culture, including numerous allegations of misconduct and abuse. Controversial Activision Blizzard boss Bobby Kotick - who remains in place, at least while the company’s sale to Microsoft is finalised - welcomed Hines’ hiring today. “Activision Blizzard has ambitious goals to become the most welcoming and inclusive company in the gaming industry,” Kotick said....

PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Xbox versions are currently listed on Rakuten Taiwan with what looks like placeholder box art. The remaster will be the Xbox 360 classic’s debut on PlayStation consoles. Senior analyst at Niko Partners, Daniel Ahmad, tweeted to say Alan Wake Remastered will be announced next week. The existence of Alan Wake Remastered comes as no surprise. In June, Alan Wake Remastered and Final Fantasy 7 Remake were both spotted in Epic Games Store updates, suggesting a PC release was on the cards....

As she sorts through her old belongings, she unlocks old memories that players can experience first-hand in the form of dioramas. “Hindsight asks you to slow down and pay attention to the little things left behind,” explains the game’s official blurb....

Ubisoft says the Anno team is “just getting started” on its latest DLC journey and so isn’t quite ready to reveal specifics just yet. However, its blog post offers a few teases on the direction Seasons 4’s three planned DLCs will be taking, with the focus this time around said being the New World - in contrast to the Old World focus of Season 3. Ubisoft notes it won’t be adding all-new sessions as part of Season 4 and that it’ll be keeping the New World’s building space limitations in mind as it firms up its development plans....

Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time and Space is a single player JRPG on mobile and Steam. Characters from Chrono Cross will be added from 9th December, along with other content. The crossover, named Symphony: Complex Dream, is adding fuel to the fire of speculation that a remake of Chrono Cross is on the way. Chrono Cross, a sequel to SNES classic Chrono Trigger, was released on the PS1 in 1999 in the US and Japan but never made it officially to Europe....

That’s according to a fresh round of leaked information on the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Mirage from well-established Ubisoft leaker j0hnathan, who has now had his Twitter account suspended. Among those details includes the fact that Baghdad will be divided into four separate zones, each with a boss to defeat, but also be surrounded by a desert area, oases and rivers. Mirage is set to take the Assassin’s Creed series back to its roots for a smaller, stealth-focused entry....
