Prolific data miner ElChicoEevee has unearthed files that point to playable wild Pokémon, suggesting a new mode may be on the way to capture and control them. That includes legendary Pokémon like Zapdos, Articuno, and Regigigas. The files unearthed include skills for the wild Pokémon, as seen in this tweet (spotted by TheGamer). Another leaker on Twitter, sobbleunitedtm, has been sharing videos of the wild Pokémon in action - including the legendaries....

Future Tech is the ninth content update for Prison Architect, and gives players the ability to update their prisons with high-tech features and more advanced security. Its big additions include keycard-activated doors, controllable searchlights, and even two robot guard dogs, but players can also make use of glass walls, electrified fences, and a tracking belt - enabling them to follow inmates via the tracking menu, monitors, and routers. There’s also a selection of new decor items, including hexagonal and triangular tiles, plus updated uniforms for inmates and guards, both sporting a more futuristic aesthetic....

This is a brand new free-to-play entry in the popular puzzle-RPG franchise, and the first game released by 505 after it bought Puzzle Quest developer Infinity Plus Two. The teaser trailer is below: According to the official blurb, Puzzle Quest 3 returns to its origins, “recalling the deep RPG mechanics and signature heroic storylines that made the original a standout hit within the Match-3 category”. It’s set 500 years after the original Puzzle Quest, and features a 1v1 battle system set in a 3D world....

“Notre-Dame on Fire” is an IMAX-shot docu-drama expected to release in March 2022 that details how firefighters were able to control the fire and prevent the entire ancient building from burning to the ground. The VR game of the same name - which puts players directly into the firefighting team the night the famous cathedral caught on fire - will release alongside the movie in March, reusing the assets from Assassin’s Creed Unity to create an escape experience....

A memorial message for her was spotted in the credits of the Mega Drive Mini 2 and later confirmed by Sega producer Yosuke Oskunari. Sega subsequently confirmed Kodama passed back in May, but was unable to share details in respect to her family, as reported by IGN. “We pray that the deceased will rest in peace, and we offer our gratitude for her enormous contributions to Sega,” said Sega of Japan....

We don’t know much of anything about the mystery RPG, but Sega did release a teaser video, below, which confirms an anime art style. The teaser trailer also mentions the RPG is for mobile devices. Too fast for his own good, or for the camera to keep up, Sonic Team has opted to keep its mascot firmly within linear routes like a rollercoaster ride, hoping dazzling visuals would distract you from realising you were doing little more than holding up....

As spotted by Nintendo dataminer OatmealDome, Nintendo is reportedly cracking down on players who are modifying the game, including a patch that let players prematurely enter the testing range. Affected players are getting console bans and “possibly” total bans from subscription service Nintendo Switch Online, too, without which players cannot access multiplayer features. “Splatoon 3 has anti-cheat in place,” explained OatmealDome, adding that they “won’t be going into much detail about how it works, since anti-cheat relies on security through obscurity” (thanks, Nintendo Life)....
