Aeon Must Die hit the headlines last year after starring in a much-watched Sony PlayStation State of Play broadcast. The trailer for the game shown during the August 2020 State of Play, below, depicts a visually arresting beat-’em-up that caught the attention of PlayStation fans. But immediately following Aeon Must Die’s high-profile video showcase airing, a version of the announcement trailer appeared on YouTube accompanied by a description alleging it had been created “with abuse, manipulation, theft” at Estonian studio Limestone Games....

While there’s little in the way of specifics to accompany today’s announcement, EA has confirmed the third-person action-adventure will once again follow the story of Fallen Order protagonist Cal Kestis, albeit five years after the events of the first game. The teaser trailer released alongside today’s announcement doesn’t reveal a whole lot more, but we do see Cal, lightsaber in hand and accompanied by trusty robot sidekick BD-1, flexing his action muscles as he remains on the run from the Empire....

This takes place long before the real ending will occur - meaning you can see an alternative outcome to how the story ends. Chief among them is a nerf to the goalkeepers, which are particularly powerful in this year’s game (check out Eurogamer’s FIFA 22 review for more). The patch reduces the effectiveness of goalkeepers when diving for top corner shots taken from inside the penalty box. This change, EA said, specifically applies to shots taken within 37 feet/11.27 meters of the goalkeeper. The patch also adds goalkeeper animations that could occur when a keeper is attempting to save a high finesse shot....

As previously announced, this new Yuffie story will launch alongside Intergrade on 10th June as a separate purchase. FF7R owners can upgrade to the Intergrade edition for free, but not if it’s the PS Plus version, and only if they have a PS5 with a disc drive if upgrading a physical PS4 copy. Alternatively, you can just buy Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade on PS5 as a separate purchase, and there’s also a digital deluxe edition with a soundtrack, art and a bonus weapon for INTERmission if you purchase that too....

The clips below, posted on Reddit (thanks,MP1st), show what appears to be a match of Conquest in the Grand Bazaar map, filled with infantry and vehicles. Another clip shows off the loadout system, along with weapon attachments for the F2000 and SMAW rocket launcher. The final clip shows some tank gameplay in action. There’s still no word on when the rest of us will be able to play it just yet, but we’ll keep you updated....

Shared as part of a collection of teasers for the service’s new season, this clip was brief but enticing. It comes with the obligatory dramatic music as it shows us snippets of Pedro Pascal’s Joel running through the streets with someone who I won’t name to avoid spoilers, Bella Ramsay as Ellie and Nick Offerman as Bill. While we don’t see any of the series’ infected enemies, we do get a brief snap of some fungal like spores on a wall, hinting at the devastation the world is in....

Astria Ascending casts players as one of the eight demigods - guardians of Harmony charged with protecting the world of Orcanon from the mysterious Noises. There’s plenty more scene-setting in the trailer below - including mention of the delightfully named “Harmelon”, an instinct-suppressing melon used to maintain harmony across the land - but the gist is that it’s a side-on, turn-based RPG with some very nice hand-drawn art. Kazushige Nojima and Hitoshi Sakimoto - who discuss the game in a separate video - are onboard as scenarist and composer respectively, further cementing Astria Ascending’s connection to 2015 iOS JRPG Zodiac: Orcanon Odyssey, which the pair also worked on....

All three of these locations are landmarks, which means they don’t appear on the Fortnite map, making them rather hard to find if you don’t know where to look. Short Nite is a film festival filled by a programme of shorts which will run every 30 minutes at the Big Screen within Fortnite’s no-combat Party Royale mode. 12 shorts will play, including “winners of Academy Awards, BAFTAs and Emmys”. As with all Big Screen broadcasts, you’ll be able to sit down in front of the screen with friends, or have it appear picture-in-picture while you run around the Party Royale island and play mini-games....

As the culmination of this season’s all-out war, Collision will mark the return of Fortnite’s fan-favourite bear Mech, the unmasking of its pilot as the game’s final member of the Seven, and an explosive showdown with the Island’s villainous IO faction. If all that means nothing to you, just know that these events are typically spectacular showcases for Epic’s development flair - oh, and there will be some freebies (and paid-for bits) to commemorate the occaison in Fortnite’s item shop in the run up to and including that day....

As usual, the Battle Pass skins are a combination of original designs and characters from across pop culture - allowing you to both embrace the weirdness of Fortnite design and occasionally play as Carnage. This season you can collect the likes of the demon hunter Charlotte, IO agent Kor, unicorn man Fabio Sparklemane, Torin who has a connection to the Cube and Carnage from the Marvel universe.
