With EA’s exclusive deal to make PC and console Star Wars games coming to an end, Lucasfilm is branching out, giving other publishers a piece of the pie. As Count Dooku once told Yoda: this is just the beginning. During this week’s episode of the Eurogamer next-gen news cast, we speculate on the games we can expect from Machine and Massive, and discuss the Star Wars games we’d love to see next....

Meanwhile, the Mario Kart logo can be seen etched on the back....

This monitor has a full HD, IPS panel. That means you can expect great viewing angles whatever your setup is like, with no washed out colours or tinting like you get with TN displays. The star feature is of course that 240Hz refresh rate....

So it’s somewhat timely we’ve just received what I’m certain is the most advanced F1 sim commercially available, thanks to the partnership between iRacing and the Mercedes AMG Team that saw the W12 E arrive to the service earlier this week. I can’t pretend to have much by way of first-hand experience of this most muscular iteration of the hybrid era, but I’ve been lucky enough to be trackside a few times and this certainly brings the supernatural speed and performance of the fastest F1 cars ever to life more vividly than any other title....

Surely a lightning-fast game like that would push me over the edge? I thought. But, oh my, how wrong I was. Not only was playing Neon White in VR a completely comfortable experience (for me - newcomers to VR beware!) but it also felt like the perfect ‘just one more go’ VR game. Playing Neon White in virtual reality was my first ever experience with the game, flat or not, and it honestly felt like a perfect fit for the medium....

But one streamer, Kwitty23, decided to beat the whole game playing as Malenia. Not only that, he only used one move the entire run: her iconic Waterfowl Dance. Funniest of all was when Kwitty23 ended up fighting Malenia as Malenia and proceeded to destroy her first time. Turns out she’s pretty weak to her own attacks. “I am the real Malenia Blade of Miquella and I have never known defeat,” he tweeted with a clip of the win....

One such modder is Raq (whose name you may recognise from our Tomb Raider Anniversary piece). They have created the Elena mod for Legacy of Thieves which, as I am sure you have guessed already, puts Elena into the spotlight by reskinning series hero Nathan Drake as his wife. I am a big fan of the Uncharted series as a whole, and of Elena Fisher especially (you may be able to spot a poster of her on my wall during Newscasts)....

The game had a hugely successful Kickstarter campaign - it was funded in under 36 hours with over $1.6m pledged. A new trailer has been released to announce the Early Access launch, which gives a look at how it all plays. But Coral Island stands out with its charming tropical style, underwater exploration, and environmental message....

TryHardGuides.com (thanks, VGC) believes the publisher has plans to showcase the game sometime in the week commencing 4th July, intimating we may soon get a release date and more details about what the game entails. “Details on what will be revealed are vague, but it’s understood that Ubisoft will finally confirm a release date for the long-awaited title, officially reveal gameplay, and share some other additional details,” the site says....

FiveSeven made a sudden and unexpected appearance (as spotted in this Reddit thread) during a video on obscure horror games by Umuragi Generation composer ThorHighHeels, with the teaser dropped right into the middle of a section on Vampire Rain: Altered Species. Beginning with a title reading The Last Train out of Narita, the 40 seconds or so of footage - which sports a similar lo-fi aesthetic to Umurangi Generation - focuses on a besuited protagonist, seemingly named Reegan....

Up until now, the hour-long film - which was produced way back during 2011’s The International - had been available on Valve’s YouTube channel, and - at the time of writing - is still available in its entirety online (thanks, PCGN). Free to Play is described as a feature-length documentary that follows three professional gamers from around the world as they compete for a million dollar prize in the first Dota 2 International Tournament....

All of the Watch Dogs 2 unique vehicles offer special decals and characteristics, and once you find them parked away in hard-to-find places, you’re able to call them at any time using the Car on Demand phone app. Though you’ll need just one to get the ‘A Ride To Remember’ Watch Dogs 2 Trophy / Achievement - the easiest of which is the Flip Wagon - it’s well worth hunting them down the set....

The game promises the same charming action adventure gameplay you can expect from a Lego game. That means slicing through enemies with your lightsabre and destroying different parts of the environment to find all sorts of collectibles. What’s also great about this game is, regardless of platform, being able to complete the story through local co-op. So if you have more than one Star Wars fan in your life, this could be a great game to play together....
