The album, called Space Rider, was written and performed by Eidos Montréal’s senior audio director Steve Szczepkowski, sound designer Yohann Boudreault, and senior creative director Jean-Francois Dugas, and can be played in-game via the Milano’s jukebox. Szczepkowski talks about its creation in the video below: According to the in-game narrative, Quill takes the name Star-Lord from his favourite band of the same name. The album features original tracks that “celebrate the rock and roll, dysfunctional nature of the Guardians family”....
In his acceptance speech for The 2022 Game Awards, during which Elden Ring secured the coveted Game of the Year award, Miyazaki said the win “really, really encourages” the team and thanked George R.R. Martin for his “great mythos for this game”. Omunchkin13 posted a video over on reddit of his Elden Ring completion using a piano as a controller. While the piano still plays music, don’t expect a full concerto - it’s more experimental jazz - but this is still a very impressive feat. Omunchkin13 used software called Bome MIDI Translator to remap computer keyboard inputs to an electric piano. However, he only used the free version so it timed out every 20 minutes, adding extra pressure to his playthrough....
First up there’s Twitch streamer Seki, who not only completed the game in under three hours - an impressive feat alone - but did so without taking any damage. Seki’s run was the world’s first to do so - while streamer GinoMachino managed a no hit run on 13th March, Seki took no damage at all. The hugely-anticipated collaboration between Souls developer FromSoftware, creator Hidetaka Miyazaki and Game of Thrones author George R. R. Martin was shown properly for the first time at the end of tonight’s Summer Games Fest event, closing the show. This new addition is Cyclizar, and it was featured as part of a new trailer for the upcoming Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, shown during the closing ceremony of this year’s Pokémon World Championships. The trailer, which you can watch below, shows Cyclizar with motorbike-esque appendages that are very similar to fellow bipedal reptile-like legendary Koraidon. Dynamic weather has been added to the game today, as part of Fortnite’s 19.01 update. Tornadoes can now form across the map, picking up items, damaging structures, and - if you get sucked up - providing a handy airborne method of escape. Dark clouds overhead can also now forecast lightning storms, which can strike objects and players. Being struck by lightning deals a small amount of damage and sets the surrounding area on fire, but also grants a speed boost....
