The DLC was originally only available as a pre-order incentive for the game or with a special edition copy. Infamous Second Son has been added to Sony’s newly launched PS Plus service, so new players are able to access the DLC as well as those who own the game. The Cole’s Legacy DLC takes place between Infamous 2 and Second Son, with the latter’s protagonist Delsin Rowe investigating the aftermath of Cole McGrath’s actions in the city of New Marais....

I first ran into Innocn earlier this year, when I sampled one of their portable OLED monitors - which I felt delivered a nice combination of portability and image quality with all the benefits of OLED technology. Okay: so while I was doing this, it felt super stupid. If I already sound like an idiot here - and I’m pretty sure I do m8s! - I definitely felt like one. Activision Blizzard initially announced it had reached an agreement with the EEOC - to set aside $18m for employees who had experienced harassment and discrimination at the company - last September, but court approval of the settlement was delayed after California’s Department of Fair Employment and Housing objected. In that objection, the DFEH - which had filed its own bombshell lawsuit against Activision Blizzard in July last year, calling the publisher a “breeding ground for harassment and discrimination against women” - claimed the settlement would cause “irreparable harm” to its own ongoing legal proceedings if approved, given that its terms would, among other things, require employees to release Activision Blizzard from claims under California state law....

Jun Kazama, Jin’s mother, made her debut in 1995’s Tekken 2 and hasn’t been a playable character in the mainline Tekken series since. 27 years later, she’s back and it looks like she hasn’t aged a day. Tekken time logic, I guess. The trailer below focuses on the Tekken 8 story (Tekken has an actual real life Guinness World Record for being the longest-running video game storyline!). Once again the Mishimas are at each other’s throats, with Tekken 8 picking up where Tekken 7 left off and the war between father and son Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama heating up....

These images give us a good look at some of the show’s set pieces, and, dare I say it, it’s all looking cautiously optimistic. This first set of images show the inside of the series’ vault, including a nursery, Vault 32 insignia and a Vault Boy poster warning of the outside world. You can see them below. Another set image was shared by FilmsFallout, showing some branded wheelbarrows. Meanwhile, while the above are all set pieces and props, another leaked image from Twitter user Robots_Radio has shown the series’ take on the vault suits....

There have been a several leaked photos from the set in Canada over the last few months, but these have mostly been blurry and out of focus. However, a new photo has given fans their best look yet at protagonists Joel and Ellie, as well as supporting characters Sam and Henry. Shared by Twitter account NaughtyDogInfo, the new image shows Bella Ramsey as Ellie wearing her winter outfit, revealing that HBO is staying pretty faithful to its source material....

For example, you can’t kill children in the game - and players have found that by chaining lightsaber attacks against these invulnerable younglings, you can essentially levitate and hover to places you’d normally struggle to reach. Specifically, people are beating up little Episode 1-era Anakin Skywalker, who will simply glow red from repeated lightsaber damage. (Normally, whacking your party members with lightsabers sends them tumbling apart into their Lego components....

In Loop Hero you look after a little adventurer as they walk in loops, battling monsters. The monsters and the loops, the walking and the battling, most of this is automated. Off your adventure goes and when they meet a blob they whack it. When they meet a spider they whack it. When they - you get it. Enemies when defeated drop armour and weapons, which make the adventurer better at whacking things....

But, of course, there’s more to this impending revival than all that. Sitting down with BioWare to discuss the changes and look to the future, the fact Mass Effect is back on the schedule at all seems like something worth celebrating, considering where the franchise seemed to have been left a few years ago. For fans, there’s been an anxious wait for news on whether Mass Effect would continue, until the twin announcements late last year - of the remastered trilogy and a brand new (still very far-off) continuation of the series - let fans once again breathe easy....

This week, Paramount delayed the rest of its 2021 film slate, moving Top Gun: Maverick from its Thanksgiving weekend release date to 27th May 2022. (It also delayed Jackass Forever from 22nd October to 4th February, and Mission: Impossible 7 from May to 30th September 2022.) The movie delays are due to concerns the spike in Covid cases caused by the Delta variant will cause lackluster box office sales. Clearly, Paramount hopes that by next year things will have improved....

Mojang made the announcement this afternoon, and said today’s new build of the game is its last. With the latest update, Mojang has made various changes to make the game easier to play - and specifically easier to play while at home. As of today, all real-money transactions have been switched off, premium currency ruby costs reduced, time requirements for crafting and smelting have been slashed and all remaining completed content for the game has been added....

The game was a knock-off of Dinosaur Polo Club’s travel puzzle game, which remains on the store. The developer previously responded, noting “if required, we will take legal action”. It’s unclear if this was done but the game no longer exists on the store nonetheless.
