As spotted by Pokémon GO Hub, a new promotion that started on 23rd March across the Koshinetsu region is turning blood donation locations into PokéStops in collaboration with the Japanese Red Cross Society. These PokéStops will allow players to receive special gifts designed around Chansey, known as Lucky in Japanese, as well as stock up on items like Poké Balls and other tools. “By introducing the blood donation room in the Kanto Koshinetsu region as a ‘Pokéstop’ in the game, we hope that more people will enjoy Pokémon GO and cooperate in blood donation,” reads a news article on the Japanese Pokémon GO website translated by Pokémon GO Hub....

Last month saw Nintendo add a new missions and rewards section to its Switch Online service. Included here were a series of new icon elements from Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Super Mario Odyssey. Now, these icons have been refreshed for April, with NSO users now able to get their hands on a different selection of Animal Crossing themed icons (all based around islanders with April birthdays) as well as ones from Splatoon 2....

Nintendo’s smartphone version of Mario Kart currently allows you to dump currency into an in-game warp pipe in exchange for randomised rewards, such as characters and karts. This will soon be replaced by a Fortnite-style rotating item shop, where you can exchange currency for items directly. Nintendo confirmed the change this morning via Twitter and gave more details in an in-game message for Mario Kart Tour players, which stated these changes would arrive early next month, on 4th October....

It’s a narrative-focused murder mystery set in medieval times, and the action takes place on the pages of an era-appropriate book. It certainly looks different to everything else out there. The game is led by Obsidian star director Josh Sawyer (Fallout: new Vegas, Pillars of Eternity) and is apparently an idea he pitched years and years ago at Black Isle Studios, according to IGN, which interviewed Sawyer about his new game....

The company becomes the 14th developer officially onboard as a PlayStation Studio, Sony said today. There’s no word yet on what Firesprite will work on next, though the company has quietly grown to quite a size - 250 people - after being founded by remnants of Wipeout developer Sony Liverpool, which PlayStation shuttered in 2012. Warwickshire police issued the penalty for “contravening the requirement to not leave or be outside the place they live without a reasonable excuse”, BBC News reported.
