The mystery was eventually solved by an official Techland spokesperson, who explained the issue stems from the fact Nintendo’s European eShop is registered in Germany - a country where Dying Light is unrated and thus prohibited from sale. “Due to nature of content,” Uncy_Techland revealed, “the digital version… is currently banned in Germany where European eShop is officially registered....

Word that Battlefield 2042’s post-launch development has been dramatically downscaled was first shared by journalist Jeff Grubb on his Grubbsnax Giant Bomb show, where he claimed the remaining team has been tasked with delivering the four seasons of live service content promised to purchasers the “fastest and the cheapest it possibly can”. “This game is basically down to a skeleton crew,” Grubb told viewers (thanks VGC). “It’s down to like the bare bones and those people are specifically just working on the promised additional seasons that the game needs to meet the requirements of the high-end version that it sold....

Publisher Bandai Namco shared this impressive figure, which is accurate as of 30th September, in a recent Q&A for investors. It means Elden Ring has moved just shy of another million copies since June. Things are clearly going well for Elden Ring! In fact, things for Elden Ring are going so well that this may well be the start of an ongoing series from Bandai Namco and developer FromSoftware. In March, the two companies released a joint statement where they described the game’s strong sales (at this point, Elden Ring had shifted a jaw-dropping 12m copies in just two weeks) as “a fantastic start for the new franchise”....

E3’s future has been looking increasingly uncertain in recent times, given the ESA’s continuing struggle to adequately adapt the show in response to the coronavirus pandemic. The event has been cancelled twice in the last three years - first in 2020 and again this year - with 2021’s virtual event proving to be a decidedly lacklustre affair. But even before coronavirus, E3’s domination of the gaming calendar was growing ever-more wobbly, as an increasing number of publishers - including Sony, EA, and Activision - all abandoned the show in order to focus on their own bespoke events outside of the E3 umbrella....

Developer Mediatonic has teamed up with Monopoly maker Hasbro to mash-up the two games into… something. Images released today show the traditional game board with plastic obstacles attached. Announcing the set, Fall Guys’ typically excitable Twitter account confirmed these obstacles can be used to “ACTUALLY YEET other players” as part of the game. Monopoly’s four normal corner squares are there, with location squares in-between. But the images show you’ll also collect currency and Crowns as you travel the board....

Smaller clubs like Wrexham aren’t normally featured in FIFA, but the club entered the game in FIFA 22 in the “Rest of the World” category, likely due to the novelty of Reynolds and McElhenney being the new owners.
