In a new video, jtisallbusiness has revealed the developer will be releasing a fix for the issue. “Blizzard did reach out to me,” jtitsallbusiness said, before stating that a Blizzard representative told them the company had “approved a fix” which will be implemented in the “next coming days”. “[I] can’t wait to see how the new system works. Hopefully it is designed in a better way,” they added. Jtisallbusiness acknowledged that the attention from the media and gaming community around his spending in Diablo Immortal helped get the situation resolved....

For a more recent comparison, its launch sales figures were 2.5 times greater than those of Horizon Forbidden West’s, according to data from GSD (via Gamesindustry.biz). These figures reveal that over 68 percent of Elden Rings sales came from digital downloads, with PC and Xbox consoles being the biggest digital platforms. Roughly 85 percent of Elden Ring sales on Xbox were downloaded, while digital sales account for 73 percent of PC players....

Things get underway at 7pm in the UK/11am PT with Epic’s inaugural Spring Showcase, a half-hour Twitch event combining “news and extended looks at some of the games coming this year”. It’s probably safe to assume at least some of those will be exclusive to Epic’s store on PC, given that a company representative recently told PC Gamer it would have “more exclusives coming in the next two years than we have published to date”....

The inclusion of esports at the upcoming Birmingham games will be known as the Commonwealth Esport Championships. This event will be a pilot, and therefore no medals will be awarded to the winners. There are hopes from the organisers, however, that this pilot will be successful, with the theory being it will draw in a younger audience to the games themselves. If the pilot does turn out to be a success, the organisers believe esports could become a “fully-fledged medal discipline in 2026” (via Daily Mail)....

Previously, a window of autumn 2024 had been set as the deadline. MEPs and EU member states voted to adopt USB-C charging ports back in October. Directive 2022/2380, the amendment to existing EU regulation which will enforce the new charger rule, has now been published in the Official Journal of the EU, which reveals the deadline all phone manufacturers will have to comply by. As per Article 2 of the published Directive, EU member states are required to adopt and publish legislation that comply with Director 2022/2380 by 28th December 2023....

First up is the reveal of Total War: Warhammer 2’s final DLC, which reworks the poor old Beastmen. Creative Assembly didn’t stop there. The UK developer announced Skarbrand as a Legendary Lord for Khorne in the upcoming Total War: Warhammer 3. GOG.com added a raft of Warhammer games to its platform, including Hired Gun, Blood Bowl 1, Blood Bowl 2, Warhammer Quest, Regicide, Adeptus Titanicus and Dakka Squadron. Developer Mediatonic hit the milestone without 48 hours of the colourful battle royale knockout game going free-to-play. “MASSIVE THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE STUMBLED,” the Mediatonic team announced on Twitter. “We reached an incredible 20 million players in the first 48 hours of Free For All! See you this weekend my beans!” Players were left unable to find matches in Fall Guys last week following server issues sparked by the game’s free-to-play and multiplatform relaunch....

It sounds like all of the above will be available via the game’s store, save for Spock - you’ll get him with Fall Guys’ current season pass, alongside a Borg mask. I have to say, I really love these designs. The trailer above also shows a skin pattern that looks similar to the franchise’s Trill race. All of this reminds me that, a year ago, Fall Guys owner Epic Games randomly added a Vulcan Salute emote into Fortnite, prompting whispers we’d see Star Trek skins turn up there....

As part of the event, various items and minions will be available to collect, as well as an emote for eating an egg. A picture of the emote shows a cute little Lalafell eating an egg, but the egg still has half the shell on. Which begs the question: how are you meant to eat a boiled egg? “But why is the egg only half peeled?” asked Final Fantasy 14 streamer Aitai Kimochi, sharing an image of the emote on Twitter....

Naoki Yoshida introduced a new trailer for the game at the PlayStation State of Play you can watch below, which gave us a fresh look at the game’s story and gameplay. In particular it showcased the game’s cast of summons, or Eikons as they’re known, their names chanted in the music if you listen carefully: Phoenix, Titan, Garuda, Ramuh, Shiva, Odin, Bahamut, and Ifrit. The trailer showed the colossal characters battling against each other, perhaps even controlled by the player....

Quality assurance tester Mackenzie Clifton has spoken publicly to Axios about their departure from Nintendo of America, and revealed both the question on unionisation they asked, as well as the “confidential information” they were accused of leaking.
