Now, Netflix is doing what it can to reassure fans that, while this will clearly be a change for the series, it will also bring a “different energy” to the show that the producers are excited about. Speaking at The Witcher: Blood Origin’s UK junket, showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich addressed the series’ recasting with a variety of outlets. “You know, I will say that change is also energy,” Hissrich told Decider....

She will star as the recurring guest character Raven, reports Variety, a character first introduced to the game series in Twisted Metal: Black. Campbell joins Anthony Mackie in the lead role of John Doe, as well as Thomas Haden Church (as Agent Stone) and Stephanie Beatriz (as a yet unnamed car thief). Mackie was cast last year when initial details of the TV adaptation were announced: an action-comedy take on the PlayStation series with a script from Cobra Kai writer Michael Jonathan Smith based on an original take by Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick....

That’s according to a new leak - which the source insists was obtained via an anonymous online retailer - that seemingly backs up prior claims that the game is set to release on 6th October and will be available in three flavours: a standard, enhanced, and legendary edition. The claims may have flown entirely under the radar, but the images accompanying the leaker’s tweets - thought to have been box art - have all been zapped with a copyright notice from a senior legal assistant at Take-Two, leading many to believe they are genuine....

Today’s release date came alongside a new teaser for the on-rails photography sequel, and details that it would be set in a new region of the Pokémon world named Lental. This area is looked after by Professor Mirror, who will judge all your snaps. The trailer showed some of the species to expect, with a mix of old favourites and newer creatures from across the series, alongside a broad range of environments....

As reported by the NY Times, the coach frequently used derogatory language in recently surfaced emails to denigrate people involved in the NFL. EA has now released a statement confirming that Gruden will be removed from the game. “EA Sports is committed to taking action in maintaining a culture of inclusion and equity,” it reads. “Due to the circumstances of Jon Gruden’s resignation, we are taking steps to remove him from Madden NFL 22....

It is an asymmetric multiplayer game based on the Japanese game keidoro (けいどろ), what we would call tag, where three humans are pitted against one monster. Matches are just three minutes long, and can be played both online and offline. Players can choose to play as a human, where the goal is to run away from the monster, or the monster, who attempts to capture the humans. There’s a roster of several different humans and monsters to play as, each with their own unique abilities....

Finding The Flowzone, as the new expansion is known, takes OlliOlli World’s acclaimed skating action high above Radlandia, with players roaming the clouds in a fantastical floating boat alongside the infamous Radmospheric Three - “grizzled sea-dog Captain Squid, the prim and proper Professor Planks, and the mystically inclined Christopher Licht”. Ultimately, the goal is to reach the fabled city of Radlantis, meet the legendary Gail Force, and compete before the Skate Godz to earn the Radlantis Rivals Cup....

Blizzard revealed its intentions to “decouple” Overwatch 2’s PvP and PvE modes and begin a series of multiplayer-focused betas earlier this month, when game director Aaron Keller rather dubiously attempted to spin the developer’s upcoming beta sessions as some sort of generous treat for content-starved Overwatch 1 players rather than the limited testing sessions for a select number of players they actually are. At the time, Keller explained the developer would begin with a short closed alpha session for Blizzard employees and Overwatch League pros before embarking on a limited-scale closed beta test of new features, content, and systems toward the end of April....

Heading the group is Sojourn, one of Overwatch 2’s three new faces at launch, a nimble Damage hero who is all about chaining things together - knee-slides into high jumps, rifle shots into energy for her auxiliary railgun. The only hero class missing from the picture is the Tank. But wait, I think that’s Winston’s elbow in the bottom corner, Winston being a giant, kindly ape whose job is to bellyflop the objective, chuck up a forcefield and bathe everybody outside it in a soothing cloud of electricity....

In a poll in the game’s subreddit community and spotted by PCGN, players were invited to vote on the next map they would like to see join the Phasmophobia rotation. Options include a circus/carnival, mall/movie theatre, manufacturing plant, office park/corporate building, and a small town square. Whilst thousands of players have voted on their preference, some took to the comments to talk about the size those hypothetical maps could be, and posited that smaller maps were important, too....

A couple of years ago, I even showcased an incredible fan-made reimagining of the old Atari Star Wars arcade game and on this week’s VR Corner, I’m back checking out another VR fan remake, this time of Star Wars: Dark Forces. Developed by Shadow Art Games, a small studio located in the UK, Dark Forces VR is based on the 1995 LucasArts original. Instead of going the flatscreen-to-vr route of just converting the original game into VR though, everything in Dark Forces VR has been made from scratch in Unreal Engine 4....

Many of the listed improvements have already been detailed and rolled out to those who signed up to beta test PS5 system software earlier this year. Other previously announced features include the ability to view PS4 and PS5 versions of the same game separately, further customise Control Center and use it to message friends and parties. During the three months ending 30th June, Sony shipped 2.4m consoles, only a slight increase on the 2.3m it managed during the same time last year. This contrasts with Sony’s forecast for the year, during which it expects to sell 18m consoles compared to the 11.5m it sold in 2021. Sony now has three remaining quarters to shift 15.7m consoles - which would require a major boost to production and sales figures far higher than any other quarter so far....

PlayStation 5-exclusive Destruction AllStars launches as a free PS Plus game on Tuesday 2nd February. This is the vehicle combat game developed by Lucid that was once a PS5 launch title. Tournaments for PlayStation 5 is an updated version of the feature first seen on PS4 back in 2016, giving players an on-console means of competing against other players to win prizes across the likes of PlayStation events, challenges, and leaderboard competitions. Sony says the new PlayStation 5 version of Tournaments “streamlines” the competitive player experience, offering easily discoverable tournaments, seamless on-console sign-up, shorter tournament times, plus automatic and real-time match updates - all delivered though a new UI, featuring the likes of notifications....

“We apologise for this issue, and to help Trainers who purchased a ticket feel like they are receiving its value, paid ticket holders will be able to participate in a bonus event,” Niantic wrote in a blog post. A new timed questline will become available in the game this Friday, 5th March at 10am local time. Completing it will reward you with a variety of premium items, including a pair of Elite TMs which are usually sold at particularly high prices, alongside a smattering of other bits and pieces....

If you want to add Dialga to your legendary collection in Pokémon Go, then you need to ensure that you know its weaknesses and counters. Like with previous legendary Pokémon, such as Palkia and Giratina, Dialga will be available in five-star raids, so, if you want to add it to your Pokédex, you’ll need to battle it alongside a group of trainers. Thanks to Remote Raiding, you can do this from home and even your own bed....
