The two much-loved modes of play have been delayed. Campaign co-op won’t hit the shooter until season two at the earliest, which means about three months after launch. User creation tool Forge, meanwhile, won’t hit the game until season three at the earliest - or about six months after launch. These target releases are “subject to change”, 343 warned. It’s a big disappointment for the Halo community, with both campaign co-op and Forge considered fundamental to the Halo experience....

Existing owners of the game will be able to continue playing the game’s Campaign and Quick Play modes with any previously-purchased DLC after this date - though offline only. A blog post on Fuser’s website announced the shutdown of live services last week, and confirmed the game and its DLC would all be withdrawn from sale. Fuser was released just two years ago - in November 2020 - and was Harmonix’s final game before being acquired by Fortnite maker Epic Games a year later....

Dark Horse Comics has set up a division called Dark Horse Games to make games based on its portfolio of entertainment properties. Dark Horse owns the likes of Hellboy, Frank Miller’s Sin City and 300, Umbrella Academy, Polar, Lady Killer, Emily the Strange, Usagi Yojimbo, and Resident Alien. Dark Horse Comics wants to develop games itself, focusing on “refreshing older and less established IPs as gaming first IPs”. But it’s also in talks with development studios to license its IPs for larger projects....
