Wingspan’s European Expansion builds on the core game’s soothing, strategic deck building - which Eurogamer’s Robert Purchese was rather taken with when he first put it through its paces some time back now - by introducing 81 new bird cards from the European area, each accompanied by a recording of its actual sound. These new birds will bring a range of fresh abilities for use during play - such as the option to steal other players’ food, to place cards on already played cards, and to reset the bird feeder - and you’ll find a little more in the way of specifics on the official European Expansion website....

In a statement to Axios’ Stephen Totilo, Blizzard explained that Overwatch 2 “will replace the current Overwatch build,” with all player-unlocked content automatically transferring across games. This is the clearest statement we have received that Blizzard plans to stop supporting Overwatch, after statements from a Reddit AMA last week left room for interpretation on whether the original game will still function, albeit without future content updates. We also learned from the sama AMA that any unopened loot boxes will have their contents automatically added to your inventory and any unused coins will also transfer over....

Options in the marketing survey obtained by Wowhead include digital toys, pets and mounts, as well as character transfers, level boosts and game time. Several price points are mentioned, including $50 (£38) and $30 (£23) options. Wrath of the Lich King is the next World of Warcraft expansion due a Classic version, following the launch of Burning Crusade Classic in 2021. World of Warcraft Classic originally arrived back in 2019....

Was Wake being teed up to tease a full sequel to his Xbox 360 cult hit? After Epic’s publishing deal was announced - for a big “AAA multiplatform game already in pre-production” and a “new, smaller-scale project set in the same franchise” - fans’ hopes were high that Wake would also appear in one of these games. Now, chatty but reliable Venturebeat journalist Jeff Grubb has announced via his Twitch he had heard “Alan Wake 2” was one of Remedy’s Epic-funded projects....

Cookstar has been embroiled in trouble ever since its release on Switch in March 2020, which saw it quickly disappear from Nintendo’s eShop and physical stores - a move later revealed to be due to a licensing dispute between Office Create and publisher Planet Entertainment. Office Create claimed Planet Entertainment had refused to correct what it saw as a “wide range of deficiencies affecting the overall feel, quality and content of the game” during development, despite being contractually obligated to do so, and had instead proceeded to release Cooking Mama: Cookstar without Office Create’s approval....

That’s the line that intrigued me. It’s one of the first things you see when you load Hundred Days up, even before the main menu. But why? This is a gentle game about making wine. A game about taking on an abandoned winery in Italy and returning it to prosperity. It’s part card game, part management game, part puzzle game. What business does it have with philosophy? Unless - and this is what gnawed at me - unless there was a secret behind the game I couldn’t see....

The results are intriguing and in many way controversial - but this could apply to the whole concept of launching Series S in the first place in a world where a prior generation Xbox exists with more GPU horsepower, more RAM and much higher levels of memory bandwidth. The fact of the matter is that 18TB is a truly ridiculous amount of storage for one person to have, or need, for personal usage. All of my main PC’s storage, games and backed up media would cover about a quarter of the storage on offer here, maybe a third at a push with everything I’ve got. Dividing the storage up into per-terabyte pricing reveals how solid this deal is - it works out to just shy of £16 per TB, which is even better value than on the 14TB WD Gold HDD that was available from Ebuyer a couple of weeks ago....

Boss Rush mode is accessed through a basement door in the Prisoner’s Quarters and features four different stages to battle through. All four stages feature back-to-back bosses to defeat, one containing three bosses, another featuring five bosses, plus two more containing three and five enhanced bosses respectively. These enhanced bosses feature “more ways to kick your ass”, including new limbs, healing powers, and even some friends to help them. Each of the four challenges feature bosses randomly selected from three tiers (although players must have encountered them in Normal mode before they appear), with three-boss challenges starting with a boss from Tier 1, then moving on to Tier 2, then Tier 3....

Found throughout the Europa destination, these are small obelisks hidden in various nooks and crannies, five of which are required to complete the post-game Aspect of Control quest. Once one has been found, it can be destroyed with the use of the Salvation’s Grip. With that Exotic quest opening up once the Beyond Light story has been completed, and the various seals required before you can access some of the areas Entropic Shards are found in, consider this an end-game activity....

First revealed several weeks after the expansion’s debut, there was a dose of luck to first unlocking the Malfeasance quest - which has since been made easier over the years. From there, there are several Taken and Gambit-centric steps required to then get Malfeasance in your hands. The mega-popular MOBA launched eight years ago, and Valve said it’s time to leave older tech behind. So, in the coming months, Dota 2 players will need to have a 64-bit machine and operating system to run the game. “As Dota has grown and expanded over the years, so has the technology that powers it - both hardware and software,” Valve said in a blog post. “In order to keep the game and the Source 2 engine fresh, we’re planning on removing support for some older systems and configurations....
