The emote, named “Tidy”, allows your character to dance like Snoop Dogg in his 2004 song Drop It Like It’s Hot. It’s one of a handful of emotes from Fortnite’s early days thought to use unlicensed dance moves - other examples of which sparked largely-unsuccessful legal threats from individuals keen to take Epic Games to court. Fans were surprised to see the emote return upon the Item Shop’s midnight UK time refresh - though its appearance was shortlived, and it was pulled from sale just a couple of hours later....

The usual array of in-game quests will offer a smattering of free cosmetics, but you’ll need to cough up in the game’s item shop to buy the Evil Dead’s Ash Williams, plus both Meeseeks and Queen Summer from Rick & Morty. Here he is in action: On the Fortnite island, altars spread across the map will grant players with werewolf-like claws to slash close-up opponents on the ground and in mid-air via a double jump....

MiHoYo’s hugely popular open world role-playing game has been available on PC since last September, and is available to purchase from the developer’s website. As part of the two-year anniversary celebrations, developer Sucker Punch revealed a number of stats about how we’ve played the game, including news that 9.73m copies have been sold since it released in the summer of 2020. Other intriguing stats include the news that since launch, players have taken 78m photos, played 91.4m Legends mode missions, hosted 540.8m duels, and seen a staggering 998.5m standoffs. Perhaps more importantly, though, we’ve petted 75....

You know Ghosts ’n Goblins by now. 2D action-platformers with a horror vibe. You know the dark of the series’ scrolling night. The creep and shudder of the monsters rising from its graveyards. You are a knight, powerful but also delicate, the merest hit shedding you of your armour and leaving you scampering around in your underwear. It is a gothic world, devils and skeletons, but it’s also quietly funny: that underwear, but also huge hands descending from the sky to grab you, and there’s something charming and comedic about the fist-pumping, knees-up run of yours, somehow so little of the expressed energy channeled into useful speed....

In a modest update over the weekend, the PC team at Sony Santa Monica deployed Patch v1.0.4 for the critically acclaimed game, which also includes a fix for unresponsive Atreus so that his state is reset if you restart from your checkpoint. It also addressed an issue where “control functionality would be lost if opening inventory during realm travel sequence”. Other improvements include a fix for “rare instances of graphics driver crashes”, an issue with incorrect VRAM detection on Intel XE platform, and the remedy of a crash that sometimes occurred during client shutdown....

This news was confirmed by Gotham Knights’ executive producer Fleur Marty via Discord. Here, Marty explained this was “due to the types of features” included in the game, adding the additional option of a performance mode would not have been “as straightforward as lowering the resolution and getting a higher FPS”. Marty highlighted the game’s “highly detailed” open-world setting and its untethered co-op gameplay as two of the reasons the upcoming game does not “have a performance/quality toggle option”....

Rockstar’s ode to the 80s was part of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Remastered Collection and will now be added to PlayStation Now as a standalone game. Three other games will be added to Sony’s service. Firstly, there’s Little Big Workshop from Mirage Game Studios, a tycoon game where players manage a factory floor of workers and production lines. Secondly, there’s strategy game Through The Darkest Times where players lead a resistance group in 1933’s Berlin....

As announced on Xbox Wire, GTA 5 is coming to the cloud and console versions of Game Pass on 8th April. This isn’t the first time the game has joined the subscription service: it was available between January and May last year, before it was replaced by Red Dead Redemption 2. You may recall that GTA 5 was also given away for free on the Epic Games Store in May 2020, and was so popular that it caused Epic Games’ services to go a bit wobbly....

Certain Affinity has assisted with Halo development as far back as Halo 2, where it worked on extra maps for that game. Subsequently, it has served as a co-developer for 343 on Halo Waypoint, Reach, Halo 4 and Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Its continued work on the series with Halo Infinite comes as little surprise, then, but the language it has used - and an earlier report on what it might be up to - point to a major addition to Infinite coming from Certain Affinity in the future....

First debuting one week after its beta debut, the free event allows you to unlock the ‘samurai’ Yoroi armor and other items over the course of the first season. Similar to the ‘main’ Battle Pass, there is an event-specific pass which requires you to unlock a number of tiers to unlock and customise the samurai armour - however, you only have a brief period of time during the event to do so....

Each crate contains a different cosmetic item you can use in multiplayer to customize your spartan. Svartalfheim is, of course, one of the Nine Realms at the heart of God of War’s current Norse-themed saga, and one of three - alongside Vanaheim and Asgard - that were unreachable in the first game. Players will finally be able to complete the set in Ragnarök, though, as well as getting a chance to return to previously visited realms to explore new locations. Svartalfheim, like other realms, can be accessed via the gateway located at the centre of the Lake of Nine (frozen over in Ragnarök thanks to the onset of Fimbulwinter) and - as detailed in a new GameInformer video - will present players with plenty of dwarven ingenuity to explore, including mine pits, artificial water channels, and sprawling cities....
