The revenue split between Twitch and streamers has long been an issue, with many claiming the current 50/50 split is stifling the growth of smaller channels. The UserVoice post, begun by streamer SaltyWyvern in 2020, became the most voted issue on the platform as it requested Twitch change the revenue split to 70/30 (like main rival YouTube). As reported by Waypoint, data in the leaked source code contains references - strangely enough - to pizza. These relate to traces of a 2014 hack that caused Twitch to rebuild much of its code infrastructure. According to the Waypoint report, back in 2014 suspicious logs were discovered in the code, clearly left behind by hackers. The intrusion caused an intense investigation, with almost all staff pulled in to assist as Twitch had few, if any, dedicated cybersecurity experts....

gTV will stream online via Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and feature series focused on the wider world of video games culture - not just Assassin’s Creed. In Ubisoft’s words, the channel will “feature a wide range of original programming inspired not only by Ubisoft, but by the video game industry at large, going behind-the-scenes on how games are created and celebrating the the people who make and play them, as well as the biggest events in the gaming calendar”....
Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier earlier this week tweeted that Ubisoft had emailed employees about a new “hybrid” work structure, and Ubisoft has now published this email on its official website. “In summary the future will be hybrid, offering the majority of Ubisoft team members the opportunity to balance home and office work,” the post explains. “This has been designed based on our learnings from the past year and from your feedback; this ’test and learn’ approach is one we will continue to adopt moving forward....
In a first for the series, online multiplayer will be included on Just Dance 2023’s release, along with a new art direction, user interface and a host of colourful characters. The game was labelled “Super Mario Bros. - Wata 9.6 A+ Sealed [Hangtab, 1 Code, Mid-Production], NES Nintendo 1985 USA”. So why is this particular copy of Super Mario Bros. so valuable? It’s only the fourth version of Super Mario Bros. ever produced, and its window of production was remarkably short, Heritage Auctions said....
