Footage of the Director’s Cut showed a bizarre scene where protagonist Sam Bridges picked up a Metal Gear Solid-esque cardboard box, emptied it of oranges, and then climbed inside. Bizarre, but we’d have hoped for nothing less. Death Stranding: Oranges confirmed. A full reveal is “weeks away”, apparently....

A tweet from the official Metal Gear account celebrating the 35th anniversary of the series mentioned: “We ask for your patience as preparations are underway to make the temporarily removed titles available again.” This likely refers to Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 which were removed from digital stores last year due to licensing issues with the historical footage utilised. ORIGINAL STORY 23/9/21: Today brings a trailer for the Disney Classic Games Collection, which is set to release on Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam, PlayStation and Xbox this autumn. This is an updated version of the previous Disney Classic Games: Aladdin and The Lion King release with a couple of extra titles thrown in - though seemingly without an upgrade path for those who paid up last time. The Jungle Book is now included, in both its “Console S” and “Console N” versions, as well as a newly-added SNES version of Aladdin....

As confirmed at The Disney & Marvel Games Showcase, Empty Clip will be taking on the 27-year-old platformer and updating it to join “revived classics like The Jungle Book, Aladdin, and The Lion King” with “updated visuals and controls” and will be coming to unspecified “modern consoles” and PC. Described as a “fan-favourite that’s sure to have you screaming like a Viking yeeted by Goliath”, Disney was keen to stress that we “have to wait to climb back into the world of Gargoyles Remastered”, so we probably shouldn’t expect it any time soon (thanks, PC Gamer)....

The EA-published role-playing game has never had an official release date - and still doesn’t - but Eurogamer understands the game was once pencilled in for this year. Reliable Battlefield leaker Tom Henderson said there was “no chance” Dragon Age 4 would arrive in 2022, which GamesBeat journalist Jeff Grubb has also backed up. According to Henderson, EA’s 2022 release calendar will instead host Criterion’s delayed Need for Speed game and Respawn’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order sequel (which is still to be officially revealed, even though EA has suggested a follow-up is coming)....

Announcing EAAC - which is officially described as a “kernel-mode anti-cheat and anti-tamper solution” - in a new blog post, the publisher explained, “PC cheat developers have increasingly moved into the kernel, so we need to have kernel-mode protections to ensure fair play and tackle PC cheat developers on an even playing field.” EAAC’s arrival will coincide with the release of FIFA 23, which brings cross-play across PC, Xbox, and PlayStation to the series for the first time....

Announced last July, the Dead Space remake is a ground-up reworking of Visceral Games’ much-loved 2008 original, once again putting players in the role of engineer Isaac Clarke as they journey through the Necromorph-infested mining ship USG Ishimura. This time, though, EA Motive is attempting to bolster the fear factor on modern systems with enhanced audio and visuals, alongside other tweaks including improved story, characters, and game mechanics. Since confirming a Dead Space remake was in the works last year, EA Motive has been unusually open about its development process, detailing the project’s progress in a series of livestreams focusing on gameplay changes, audio, and art....

YouTuber MythyMoo used an item and boss randomiser mod that mixes up the placement of acquired items and bosses, which can massively impact the difficulty of a run. The mod also mixes up the names of each boss. Except, as PCGamesN reports, things took a turn when MythyMoo arrived in the Consecrated Snowfield, an area with various field bosses. MythyMoo arrived at the placement of the Night’s Cavalry boss and dispatched a load of lesser enemies....

YouTuber Zullie the Witch has made this latest grotesque discovery, zooming in on the Valiant Gargoyles bosses. On close inspection, the heads of the gargoyles are actually two faces merged together. What’s more, there’s a clear divide between their artificial gargoyle wings and their skin. Along the body are seams where mismatched skin has been grafted together....
