Endemic Life: Rock Lizard is a side-mission given to you by Senior Hunter Hanenaga in the village hub, and tasks you with taking a picture of the creature in question. You can complete this either on a hunt, or as part of an expedition - wherever you see a Rock Lizard on your travels. Rock Lizards are unique looking creatures which appear to be made of rare gems and stones. They’re quite small and easily missed, so you’ll have to keep an eye on the ground wherever you may roam. Like most endemic life, chances are they can spawn anywhere within the biome, and at random. That said, for us they appeared mostly in the southern areas, so it’s worth starting there if you’re specifically searching for one for the quest. Once you have completed the Endemic Life: Rock Lizard quest - see below on how to use the Camera to do this - you can interact with the lizard for some Rock Lizard Material. For us, this included an Armor Sphere and a Machalite Ore. Select Camera, then line up the Rock Lizard in your lens. Be sure not to stand too close, or too far away, and if you are successful, the mission will come up as completed when you have taken the shot.
