Alongside increasing the duration of Incense to an hour, Incense Day supplies you with a variety of bonuses that will help you catch a variety of Pokémon. Below you’ll be able to find the time and date for the next Incense Day, as well as the bonuses that apply to that event. On this page: Each hour of this event causes any Incense you use to attract a particular type of Pokémon, with that Pokémon type changing every hour. The first is that your Incense will attract more Swinub than usual; you might even be able to catch a couple of shiny Swinub. Any Pilloswine, the first evolution for Swinub, you evolve into Mamoswine will learn the Ancient Power move, which is usually restricted to the Swinub Community Days. Just remember - you need a Sinnoh Stone and 100 Swinub Candy to get a Mamoswine. There will also be Incense Day exclusive field research tasks for you to collect during the event. Finally, during this event the specific type of Pokémon that are attracted to the Incense that you use will change throughout the day. This Incense Day is focused on two different specific types - ice and ground-type Pokémon. Here are the following hours during the Incense Day when these types are active:
11am to 12pm - Ice-type Pokémon 12pn to 1pm - Ground-type Pokémon 1pm to 2pm - Ice-type Pokémon 2pm to 3pm - Ground-type Pokémon 3pm to 4pm - Ice-type Pokémon 4pm to 5pm - Ground-type Pokémon
During the hours that ice-type Pokémon appear more frequently, you might encounter:
Seel Jynx Sneasel Snorunt Snover Vanillite Galarian Darumaka
Meanwhile, during the hours for ground-type Pokémon and Pokémon which evolve into them, you might find:
Onix Cubone Rhyhorn Wooper Phanpy Larvitar Barboach
Swinub will appear in every hour, since this is its special day. First things first, you need to ensure that you actually have Incense. If you don’t then you can easily purchase some from the in-game store or earn it by completing Special Research tasks, such as Let’s Go Meltan. Having a Lucky Egg or two for doubling your XP is also a good idea, especially if you’re planning on catching a lot of Pokémon. Finally, you should also ensure that you’ve stocked up on Poké Balls and berries of all varieties. The worst thing that could happen to you on Incense Day is that, when that rare Pokémon you’ve been hunting appears only to discover that you’re all out of Poké Balls. During the event, you’ll be able to purchase an exclusive bundle of three Incense in exchange for 1 PokéCoin. This means that you can easily take part in three hours of the event. If you wish to partake in more than three hours of the event, then you can purchase additional Incense at these PokéCoin prices:
One Incense - 40 PokéCoin Eight Incense - 250 PokéCoin
The Season of Mythical Wishes continues with the Winter Holiday event, which has brought Mega Glalie to Pokémon Go. Don’t forget to partake in the new Go Battle League season.
Elsewhere, be sure to use Daily Adventure Incense for the chance of encountering Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos and Galarian Moltres.
